Luxury market expert and Forbes’ affluent consumer market contributor Pam Danziger uses the example of the recent “unprecedented” collaboration between LVMH’s Louis Vuitton and NBA to explain some of the more (and less obvious) benefits and challenges resulting from the partnership. 

I am not a dedicated sports fan, therefore do not find the capsule collection of apparel and accessories designed by Creative Director Virgil Abloh particularly desirable. However, my 20 year-old younger brother, a self-proclaimed hypebeast and sneakerhead, was a big fan.
